About Us

UW-W CEO was formed in the spring of 2006 with the College of Business efforts to begin an Entrepreneurship program. Since then, CEO has established itself as a solid educational organization which prides itself with hands on entrepreneurial projects, personal development, and entrepreneur skill enhancement.

It seems that most student organizations focus on what we like to call:

“The easy 3″

  • Networking
  • Socializing
  • Resume Building

When you boil each organization down, the streak of “The Easy 3″ will shine through. Although each category is valuable in their own right, we believe that there is so much more! Anyone of these categories can be done on your own. The question is: if all organizations mainly just offer “The Easy 3″ then what is difference from one to the other? What is their value adding competitive advantage?

What separates CEO from other campus organizations? It’s simple; We practice what we preach!

What we offer and will teach you:

Progressive Speaker Series – Successful entrepreneurs that personally teach CEO members the “how to” of business. Each speaker will help you build upon your business ideas through their experience tailored to your situation. This semester especially! If you attend our meetings regularly you will walk out with a completed business plan by the end of the semester. We believe not only in helping you succeed, but also helping you create a portfolio of experience to show it all off!

Interactive Personal Development Workshops – We believe that we are all students of life. Entrepreneurs are always looking to improve themselves. We have many programs that involve enhancing your personal skill sets such as: Networking skills, Leadership skills, Personal Selling skills, etc. Even how to set up your own LLC!

Inspirational Speakers – Positive inspiration from some of the best entrepreneurs in the world. Past speakers include: Craig Culver (Culvers Restaurants), Scott Gittrich (Toppers Pizza), Barbra Isreal (Platypus Technologies), etc.

CEO’s Entrepreneurial External Businesses – The UW-W CEO chapter owns and operates many of its own entrepreneurial ventures (Directions Magazine). We are one of the unique few campus organizations that is completely financially self sufficient. Check out more at external business.

CEO Business Contests – We have created the unprecedented UW-Whitewater Warhawk Business Plan Contest and Warhawk Elevator Pitch Competition. These contests are designed to enhance your personal skills, help inspire enterprise creation, and help give members some starting venture capital.

We are building something special at UW-Whitewater by doing more and working harder than any other student organization before us. New Semester. New Year. New You.
